Embry-Riddle and Leading Aviation/Aerospace and High-Tech Employers Host Career Expo

Embry-Riddle-Sponsored Event One of Nation’s Largest Dedicated to Aviation/Aerospace and Related Technologies Careers

Daytona Beach, Fla., Oct. 16, 2008 -- Jobseekers are invited to expand their horizons at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s 2008 Industry/Career Expo, one of the largest of its kind in the nation, attracting top employers in aviation, aerospace, business, engineering, and other high-tech fields.

Representatives of more than 100 employers from across the nation are scheduled to participate, including AirSur, American Eagle Airlines, Baker Hughes, The Boeing Company, the Central Intelligence Agency, HSBC, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, NetJets, Southwest Airlines, United Space Alliance, and Volvo Aero Services.

The Career Expo will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the ICI Center at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. The annual event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Embry-Riddle’s Career Services Office.

“We expect a strong turnout at this year’s Expo,” says Lisa Scott Kollar, Career Services executive director. “We’re pleased with the quality of companies exhibiting at the event and expect a fantastic opportunity for our students, alumni, and visitors. Job candidates from all levels of experience and backgrounds are welcome to discuss career options with a full range of industry leaders.”
